Seeking the pleasures of this world
alienates us from Him
to drive that wedge of sin between
our spirits deep within

are you happy doing your will
do you like what you’ve got

turn your whole life over to God
all one hundred percent
only then are you ever free
to really be content

to see the end result
of how a human being’s changed
when life was difficult

as believers who’ve lost their joy
can find it once again
by redirecting their lives
and letting God come in

praise God for His capacity
to heal a wounded heart
immeasurable love divine
